I offer online and in person workshops and events in poetry and micro-memoir. Non-profits looking to offer my programming may receive funding from the Virginia Commission for the Arts through their Teaching Artist Roster.

Designed for writers of all levels of experience, my micro-memoir workshops take place in eight-week sessions, meeting for 90 minutes to two hours either via Zoom, or at a Hampton Roads area venue. Participants are encouraged to share their life stories in small doses in a supportive and inspiring environment.

My poetry workshops and events are adjustable to the interests of the individuals and communities that request them. I guide one day workshops writing in response to visual art and cultural museum exhibitions. I also offer 8-week online or in person poetry writing workshops, and an online Poetry Boot Camp, a rigorous one-on-one program that encourages you to craft at least a poem a week through prompts and assignments.
